Eighth Annual Hamptons Restaurant Week

The Eighth Annual Hamptons Restaurant Week is scheduled to launch Sunday, March 21st through Sunday, March 28th.

Hamptons Restaurant Week

For eight days before the start of "high season," participating restaurants offer their own unique three-course prix fixe menus all night except Saturday when it will only be offered until 7 p.m. The regional promotion is not limited to just Hamptons restaurants - wineries, lodging and spas located on Long Island's East End are invited to participate by offering visitors and locals discounts throughout the week.

Originally designed to garner positive publicity and additional business for restaurants, the event is organized by WordHampton Public Relations. In an effort to make Hamptons Restaurant Week bigger and better, WordHampton Public Relations introduces new changes in 2010:

*Restaurants will have the option of offering three-course prix fixes for $19.95 or $24.95 or both $19.95 and $24.95
*Diners may try discounted bottles of wine from participating vineyards for $19.95 or $24.95 per bottle at select restaurants.
*Vineyards may offer discounts in tasting rooms: 15% off bottles of select wines, 20% off cases of select wines or a flight of five tasting wines for $5.
*Diners may rest between meals at East End lodging properties offering 15% off accommodations, stay two nights and get the third night free, or stay one night and get the second at half price.
*Spa participants will enable diners to rejuvenate before meals with 15% off any spa service, 50% off pedicure with any manicure, or those who visit during HRW may receive a coupon for their next visit.

In the past seven years of Hamptons Restaurant Week , restaurateurs experienced a surge in business, some, by more than 50 percent during the promotion. Many restaurants reported midweek numbers to be up over 50 to 200 percent and some even opened early just for the week. The campaign won an honorable mention from the MarCom Creative Awards, an international competition recognizing outstanding achievement by marketing and communications professionals.
