Mario Lopez at Besito

Dancing with the Star alum Mario Lopez was spotted dining at Besito in Huntington on Sunday October 18th. Lopez, looking casual in jeans, t-shirt and black leather jacket, dined with 3 friends at the Mexican hotspot, noshing on their signature guacamole, prepared tableside, tortilla soup, fresh ceviche, orange and tequila glazed shrimp and finished off his meal with the homemade chocolate pudding. Lopez posed for photos with the staff after his meal.

Billy Joel at Prime

It wasn't a bottle of red but it was two glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon for Billy Joel at Long Island's Prime on Sunday, October 11 where he dined with two buddies taking in a Caesar salad with vinaigrette, a 38-ounce rare rib-eye steak and the Huntington Harbor view.

Miss New York and Others at Porto Vivo

Porto Vivo in Huntington was a bustle with some famous faces this weekend. Miss New York 2009 Alyse Zwick had lunch on Sunday, after her appearance at the Huntington fall fair. She dined with two friends. She had grilled veal Milanese. Christian Siriano, American fashion designer and the winner of the fourth season of American reality show Project Runway, dined on Thursday with Project Runway designer Victorya Hong, Jacquelin Miranne former contestant and model. They sampled several items from the menu including antipasto, fresh pasta and grilled branzino. Billy Joel dined on Saturday night with friends - two women and another man. Joel started with eggplant caponata and had the steak as his main course and cheesecake for dessert. The group enjoyed wine with their dinner.

Steven Spielberg and Others at Nick and Toni's

The actors were out and about in the Hamptons for the Hamptons Film Festival. A few film notables stopped in to Nick & Toni's for a bite throughout the week...
Wednesday night Steven Spielberg dined with his wife and kids at the table next to Barry Sonnenfeld and his wife and daughter. On Saturday morning Nick & Toni's hosted a brunch for the 2009 breakthrough performers which included: Emmy Rossum (Dare, Phantom of the Opera), Zach Gilford (Dare, Friday Night Lights), Emma Stone (Paper Man, Superbad) and Rooney Mara (Tanner Hall, The Winning Season). The rising stars sat at a table with their mentor Sharon Stone and noshed on salmon, mini fritattas, arugula salad, pizzas from the woodburning oven and homemade muffins. Alec Baldwin also stopped by the table to greet the rising stars.

Tuesday - Howard Stern & Beth Ostrosky had a light dinner for two enjoying fresh fish and salads. Wednesday - Gilles Bensimon dined with Diana Widmaier-Picasso, granddaughter of Pablo Picasso. Thursday - Barry Sonnefeld dined with his wife and friends, Eric Ripert dined with wife and friends. Friday - Nathan Lane dined with director Susan Stroman, Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky dined again. Sunday - Actor Bob Balaban and his wife dined with Sex and the City creator Darren Star's and his partner in the front room while Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell enjoyed mixed greens and pasta in the back room next to expecting actress Leelee Sobieski and her fiance.

Serena Williams at Porto Vivo

After throwing out the first pitch at the new Yankee Stadium Friday in the Yankee's vs. White Sox game, tennis great Serena Williams headed to Huntington's newest hotspot Porto Vivo on Gerard St. for dinner with Home Shopping Network Maven Joy Mangano, recently named of of Fast Company's Most Creative People of 2009. Williams, her manager and her sister Isha joined Porto Vivo owners Joy Mangano and Philipp Seipelt and Seipelt's fiancee Christie Mangano. They dined in the upper level dining room where Williams enjoyed steamed littleneck clams and grilled branzino. Serena skipped vintages from the wine cellar instead opting for water gearing up for play at the upcoming US Open next week.

They sat in the front room enjoying pasta and fish while Christy enjoyed the cannoli for dessert; Thursday - Betsey Johnson was in with 2 friends; Friday - A large group of 14 sat outside on the patio including rock promoter Ron Delsener, Christie Brinkley and Alexa Ray Joel following her performance at The Stephen Talkhouse; and Sunday - Artist Richard Prince with his family, Keith Hernandez with his wife.

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, in town for the movie premiere of his new movie "Spread," hit East Hampton's Nick & Toni's for a bite with co-star Anne Heche and 10 others. Alec Baldwin stopped in for a quick hello while they enjoyed their meal on the patio. According to one of his frequent tweets, included in that crew was the cast from his new show "Beautiful Life" or so indicated his tweet: "Hanging with the cast of the beautiful life in the hamptons." Demi had the wood-oven roasted free range chicken and Ashton went for the New York steak.

Dan Aykroyd stopped in to Turtle Crossing (221 Pantigo Rd., East Hampton, NY 11937 [631] 324-7166 www.turtlecrossing.com) on Friday evening to introduce his new vodka, Crystal Head Vodka (crystalheadvodka.com), packaged in a unique skull shaped glass bottle designed by artist John Alexander. Dan mixed up his favorite cocktail, fresh squeezed OJ and Crystal Head Vodka and shared it with diners. He signed autographs, took photos with staff and mingled with the guests. Chef Arthur Wolf invited Dan and his entourage to stay for dinner but they had other plans, so he invited them back for lunch on Saturday. A crew of six including Dan returned Saturday afternoon in the Crystal Head Trailer and enjoyed a full Turtle lunch of grilled corn, turtle crossing quesadillas, burgers, brisket sandwich, salads and some beers.

Johnson ordered some food to go and sampled a glass of sauvignon blanc at the bar while waiting for her order. One of the founders of Hip Hop DJ Grandmaster Flash was spotted dining at HONU Kitchen & Cocktails in Huntington last week with a young, attractive, female. They dined near the fireplace and enjoyed some of the signature small plates such as Gnocchi with Wild Mushrooms, Halibut with Sundried Tomato and Orange, Filet Mignon with Potatoes au Gratin and Seared Tuna with Wasabi Aioli. They drank their famous Coconut Martini's.

Who wasn't at Nick & Toni's this weekend?

At Nick & Toni's (136 North Main Street, East Hampton, NY, 11937, 631-324-3550) over the weekend:

• Tuesday night Alec Baldwin dined solo while browsing some magazines. Later in the evening Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell with her sister started with drinks at the bar — McCartney and Shevell shared a margarita and then sat down for dinner. McCartney dined on all vegetarian dishes including vegetables and pasta.
• On Wednesday night Sarah Jessica Parker sat outside with friends.
• On Friday Sex in the City writer Darren Star celebrated his birthday with two friends.
• Saturday night Howard Stern with Beth O came in for a quick meal outside dining on salads and fish. Later in the evening Wolfgang Puck was in, after being honored at the James Beard Foundations Chefs & Champagne event, with 5 people and snacked on cured meats, fresh ricotta and tuscan toast paired with red wine.
• Ethan Hawke, Ryan Shawhughes and just born baby Clementime popped in for an early dinner on Sunday night. They noshed on salads and Hawke had a red wine. They ate quickly worrisome having their newborn out so early in her life.
